Our festival is dedicated to showcasing independent films that explore the criminal justice system—its flaws, complexities, and human stories. From documentaries and dramas to experimental shorts, we aim to elevate voices and perspectives often left out of mainstream conversations.
The festival takes place on March 27-28th, 2026 in Canon City, Colorado (about an hour southwest of Colorado Springs.) Select screenings and panels will also be available online for virtual attendees.
We welcome submissions from filmmakers of all backgrounds, whether emerging or established. If your work explores themes related to criminal justice, incarceration, reform, systemic inequity, or related issues, we’d love to see it.
Some films contain mature themes, strong language, or depictions of violence as they relate to real-life justice issues. We recommend checking film ratings and descriptions before attending with younger viewers.
